Gosen Haitian SDA Church has faithfully served the Haitian and Creole community of Jacksonville, Florida for years. Through seasons of renting, sharing spaces, and worshipping in temporary locations, our congregation has never stopped growing, serving, and praising God.
Today, God has opened a door we have been praying for. A beautiful property at 8819 103rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32210 is available, and it is perfect for our permanent church home. We are raising $800,000 by December 2026 to purchase this building, cover closing costs, and prepare it for worship.

About the Cornerstone Campaign
Why the Cornerstone Campaign?
For years, Gosen Haitian SDA Church has faithfully served the Haitian and Creole community in Jacksonville, Florida. Through seasons of renting, sharing spaces, and adapting to limited resources, our congregation has never stopped worshipping, growing, and serving. Every Sabbath, families gather to praise God, study His Word, and lift one another up. But we have always done so in borrowed spaces, with no permanent place to call our own.
The name Cornerstone comes from Psalm 118:22, which says, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.” This verse speaks to the heart of who we are. Like that rejected stone, our community has been overlooked, underestimated, and under-resourced. But God has a plan. He is taking what the world dismissed and making it the foundation for something lasting, something powerful, something beautiful.
God has opened a door. We have identified a beautiful property at 8819 103rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32210 that is perfect for our permanent church home. This single-story brick building offers the space, the layout, and the character we need to serve our congregation and community for generations to come. The time to act is now, and we are stepping forward in faith.

Our Fundraising Goal
The total campaign goal is $800,000.00. This covers the purchase price of the property at 8819 103rd St, closing costs, property inspection, necessary renovations, furnishings, and campaign operating expenses. Every dollar contributed goes directly toward securing and preparing our new church home. Our deadline is December 2026, and with God’s blessing and your generosity, we will get there.

Why Monthly Giving Changes Everything
Research shows that monthly donors give 42% more annually than one-time donors. A gift of $50 each month becomes $600 in a year. A gift of $100 each month becomes $1,200. Over the life of our campaign, monthly givers will be the backbone of our success.

How We Track and Share Progress
We believe in complete transparency. Every dollar donated to the Cornerstone Campaign is tracked, recorded, and reported to our congregation and donors. The thermometer above is updated regularly to reflect total contributions received from all giving channels: Adventist Giving, Zelle, mail, in-person, and online donations.
Our church treasurer maintains detailed records of all gifts, and our campaign committee reviews financial reports monthly. Quarterly updates are sent to all donors via mail and email, showing exactly how much has been raised, how many donors have contributed, and what milestones have been reached.

Monthly donors collectively contribute more over the life of a campaign than one-time donors, and your consistent support helps us plan with confidence.
All funds go directly toward the purchase of the property at 8819 103rd St, Jacksonville, FL 32210. This includes the purchase price, closing costs, property inspection, necessary renovations, furnishings, and campaign operating expenses. Every dollar raised will go toward the purchase of the property. If the full goal is not reached by December 2026, the campaign will continue until the goal is met. No funds will be redirected to other purposes without the approval of the church body.
If we are blessed to exceed our $800,000 goal, any additional funds will be directed toward building improvements, furnishings, equipment, and ministry programs for our new church home. The church body will vote on how surplus funds are allocated.
Yes. During the online giving process, you can dedicate your gift in honor or memory of a loved one. We will include their name in our campaign records, and if you wish, we can acknowledge them publicly in our newsletter or on the donor wall.
